Welcome to 1st grade!
A little about Mrs. Taylor
I am not only a teacher at Guadalupe, but a former Guadalupe parent. I spent 12 years as a parent at this wonderful school. I have three kiddos and one furry child named Cody. My daughter, Ally, just graduated from Cal Poly SLO and now works as a chocolate maker at Manoa Chocolates in Kailua, on Oahu. My son, Zachary, is a freshmen at Oregon State University studying Environmental Engineering. My daughter, Shelby, is a Junior at Presentation High School. My family and I love being a part of this community. I began my teaching career in Palo Alto in 1997. I took some years off to be at home with my kids and volunteer for every school activity. I am so happy to be back in the classroom now, full time, for my eight year. I really enjoy being with my family, spending time at the beach, reading, and hiking.

SUMMER READING CHALLENGE
If kiddos read a hundred books, or chapters, they will get to have a picnic with me at the beginning of the school year. I talked with them all about this optional challenge. I hope they find time this summer to continue to read "just right" books! If you lose the paper, record your books, or chapters on a piece of paper to show Ms. Mary. I will email you all with the details of the picnic when school begins in August. Kiddos can bring their challenge sheet to Ms. Mary in room A1 when they get back to school. Happy Reading! |
